Mikel Arteta has named his Arsenal team to take on Man City in their first Premier League match in just over three months.
Unfortunately the Gunners boss has to do without Mesut Ozil for the game in Manchester as he has not been included in the squad.
Sokratis is also absent and that sees Hector Bellerin start at right-back, with Kieran Tierney operating on the opposite flank after receiving the nod from the head coach.
Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock also start, with David Luiz named on the bench.
Last in action at the start of March as they beat West Ham 1-0 at the Emirates, it has been a long wait for all concerned with the coronavirus pandemic bringing sport to a stop across the globe.
This evening's game also sees Arteta and Pep Guardiola come up against each other for the first time following the former's decision to swap the Etihad Stadium for the Emirates midway through December.
Speaking about coming up against his fellow countryman, Arteta stated that the ex-Barcelona boss has had an "enormous influence" on both his coaching career and personal life.
"He was an influence for me since I was 15 and we met in Barcelona as players," he said. "Then obviously in my coaching career and personal life he has an enormous influence.
"If I has to talk about the person he is, his values, how he has treated me and how he deals with the players and staff around him: it's phenomenal.
"As a coach I've learned so much from him. We've spent some amazing moments together, some difficult as well.
"The experience next to him has been incredible."
Here is the team Arteta has picked to face the reigning Premier League champions:
Arsenal XI: Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Mari, Tierney, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Willock, Saka, Aubameyang, Nketiah
Subs: Martinez, Ceballos, Lacazette, Maitland-Niles, Pepe, Luiz, Nelson, Kolasinac, Martinelli.
