Confirmed Arsenal XI vs Burnley: David Luiz, Dani Ceballos make full debuts; Alex Lacazette back

David Luiz and Dani Ceballos will make their full Arsenal debuts after Unai Emery made two changes from the side that beat Newcastle United 1-0 on the opening weekend.

Calum Chambers, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Granit Xhaka have dropped out of the side that won at St James' Park with Alexandre Lacazette returning from an ankle injury.

Xhaka had been suffering with bruising on his back and leg and trained separately with the club's fitness coaches on Friday. Meanwhile Kieran Tierney, Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin are not expected to be back in Emery's squad until October.

Arsenal have won their last three matches against the Clarets by a combined scoreline of 11-2 but that does not necessarily tell the whole story of several keenly contested games. Emery is expecting a similarly challenging encounter this afternoon.

"We know it's going to be difficult this year and we start at home against Burnley, they are in a very good moment," he said. "They won 3-0 and had an amazing pre-season. They’re a very strong team with one structure that’s very clear.

"Last year against us they changed but that isn't normal. They played a 5-3-2, but I think they are going to play 4-4-2 because that for them is a strong structure. They are a team with a good coach and experience here in England."

Arsenal XI: Leno; Maitland-Niles, Luiz, Sokratis, Monreal; Ceballos, Guendouzi; Nelson, Willock, Aubameyang; Lacazette
