Confirmed Arsenal XI vs Bayern Munich: Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette start

Unai Emery has named a senior line-up to take on Bayern Munich in with starts for a front four of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

The quartet lead a significantly more experienced side including the defence that could well take the field on the opening day of the season against Newcastle United.

Emery had opted to do without most of his more experienced options for a 3-0 win over Colorado Rapids in Denver but has reintegrated senior options into his side against the German champions.

The only youth player to make the starting line-up is Joe Willock, who starts in central midfield where the likes of Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi and Mohamed Elneny have not travelled due to international tournament commitments.

Aubameyang had picked up a slight injury to his leg in training the night before the game but has shaken that off to start up front.

Meanwhile Bayern Munich have named several experienced players, including goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, central midfielder Thiago and forward Thomas Muller. Highly-rated young striker Fiete Arp also makes an appearance after joining Bayern Munich from Hamburg.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Mustafi, Monreal, Xhaka, Willock, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette

Bayern Munich XI: Neuer, Thiago, Martinez, Arp, Boateng, Tolisso, Muller, Alaba, Ontuzans, Johansson, Kehl
