Confirmed Arsenal line-up to face Dundalk as Runarsson is handed debut, Cedric and Nelson start

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has handed a debut to goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson as the Gunners face Dundalk this evening.

The Icelandic keeper replaces Bernd Leno in goal for the Gunners for the Europa League clash at the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal hoping to make it two wins from two in the group stage of the competition.

It is a full debut for Runarsson in goal, while Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolasinac are paired together at centre-back.

Cedric Soares is also handed a rare opportunity at right-back, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles on the left side of the defence, while Reiss Nelson starts alongside Eddie Nketiah and Nicolas Pepe in attack.

In midfield, Joe Willock comes into the side alongside Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka, who captains the team.

Arteta has several big names on the bench, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Thomas Partey, Alexandre Lacazette and Willian among the subsitutes.

Arsenal XI: Runarsson; Cedric, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles; Willock, Elneny, Xhaka (c); Nelson, Pepe, Nketiah.

Subs: Leno, Hein, Bellerin, Tierney, Gabriel, Saka, Ceballos, Partey, Willian, Lacazette, Aubameyang, Balogun.
