Confirmed Arsenal line up to face Angers: Marintelli, Nelson and Nketiah start amid Pepe hint

Unai Emery has named a mix of youngsters and first team players for Arsenal's pre-season run out against Angers.

The build up to the game threatened to be overshadowed by Nicolas Pepe with team news delayed amid hints from the club's official site of an announcement being close.

Emiliano Martinez starts in goal for the Gunners behind a back four made up of Shkodran Mustafi and Zech Medley, flanked by Calum Chambers and Nacho Monreal.

In midfield, Robbie Burton gets another chance to impress with Matteo Guendouzi adding some clout while Gabriel Martinelli joins Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson and Tyreece John-Jules in an attacking line up.

Matt Macey, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Dominic Thompson, Peter Olayinka, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Granit Xhaka, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Joe Willock and Pierre-Emerick Aubemyang make up the bench.

Angers was the club with whom Pepe made his Ligue 1 debut, and a team celebrating their 100th anniversary this season.

Prior to the game a leaked video emerged that seemed to show the 24-year-old having images taken for his official unveiling.

Confirmed Arsenal XI: Martinez; Chambers, Mustafi, Medley, Monreal; Guendouzi, Burton; Martinelli, John-Jules, Nelson; Nketiah.

Subs: Macey, Sokratis, Thompson, Olayinka, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Mhitaryan, Willock, Aubameyang.
