Fulham have been promoted to the Premier League after beating Brentford 2-1 in the Championship play-off final at Wembley, meaning the top flight's 2020/21 line-up is complete.
Joe Bryan’s double in extra time sent Scott Parker’s side back into the top flight, and claimed the spoils from the world’s richest game and joined Leeds United and West Brom in next season's Premier League.
The Cottagers’ victory sees them return to the Premier League after just a year away, while Brentford missed out on a place in the top flight for the first time since 1947.
Fulham just shaded a close first half at the national stadium, with Josh Onomah drawing an early save from David Raya as both sides kept each other in check.
Scott Parker’s side could have been reduced to ten men though after Harrison Reed’s challenge on Christian Norgaard, with the midfielder escaping with just a yellow card.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid spurned a great opportunity for Fulham just before the hour mark as he failed to keep his shot down after the ball fell into his path inside the penalty area.
Nothing could separate the two sides over 90 minutes though as the game went to extra time, and just before the end of the first 15 minutes, Bryan caught Raya out as he smashed his free-kick home, with the Brentford keeper expecting a cross.
And with just a couple of minutes remaining, Bryan grabbed his second to confirm his side’s return to the top flight, despite Henrik Dalsgaard pulling a goal back late on for Brentford.
Fulham’s promotion completes the line-up for next season’s Premier League.
Brentford, meanwhile, will spend another season in the Championship, where they will be joined by Norwich City, Watford and Bournemouth following their relegations from the Premier League, while Wycombe Wanderers, Rotherham United and Coventry City make their way up from League One.
