A Conder woman has received an early Christmas present, taking home $1 million after a division one win in Monday's lotto draw.
The woman said she checked her lottery ticket on Thursday morning after hearing on the radio her local newsagency had sold an unclaimed ticket.
"I immediately had an overwhelming feeling that it could be me," she said.
"I started shaking and then checked my ticket and discovered I was the winner."
The unregistered ticket was purchased at the Lanyon Newsagency, and owner Ken Patel said he was thrilled for the customer.
"We feel like our dream has come true. This is such great news for both our local community and also our customers," he said.
"We have been waiting a long time to sell a division one winning entry so we are so happy to have now done that."
The woman planned to buy a home with her winnings home.
"That's been my dream for so long now and I'll finally be able to make it happen," she said.
"It's going to be such an amazing Christmas."
