Glasgow's transformation into a thriving cultural and foodie destination over the past few years has saw its reputation soar, with travel websites, books and blogs all dedicating increasingly more time and space to Scotland's biggest city.
February saw Glasgow top a Rough Guides readers' poll of the world's friendliest cities ahead of the likes of Budapest, Vancouver, Tokyo, Copenhagen, Melbourne and Dublin, while this past November saw our city make it into the top 100 world 'best cities' list.
Now luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller has afforded our beloved home with the prestigious title of best UK city break destination for 2021 in a newly published list.

Their editors rounded up their 12 favourite city breaks 'for a quick trip', and have recommended folk make a beeline to Glasgow, ahead of the likes of Belfast, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle.
In bestowing the 'wide awake' Glasgow with top spot, Condé Nast wrote: "Glasgow’s wide-open outdoor spaces, architecture and full-throttle nightlife could still steal your heart in 2021.
"Ahead of the city’s stint as host of the UN’s climate-change summit in November, there’s a hopeful feeling in the air. Glasgow was built to survive hard knocks, even Covid-shaped ones, and continues to flourish with some wildly creative plans in the works."
They go on to namecheck places such as Finnieston, SWG3, Ka Pao, Kelvingrove Café and Crabshakk as well as events such as Glasgow International and Summer Nights at Kelvingrove Bandstand.
