A Ukraine appeal effort has taken the form of a star-studded concert being held in Birmingham.

The charity fundraising gig, held in Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena, includes a brilliant line-up with Ed Sheeran, Camilla Cabello and Emeli Sandé – among other big names.

ITV, STVand Livewire Pictures are raising funds through the concert for the Disaster’s Emergency Committee’s (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

An expected £3 million of sponsorship and advertising revenue will be donated by ITV to the cause.

When is the Concert for Ukraine?

The two-hour special will be held in-person on Tuesday 29 March 2022 in Birmingham from 8pm until 10pm.

The show will be broadcasted live on TV and will be made available to stream online.

Who will be performing at the Concert for Ukraine?

Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sandé, Camilla Cabello and Snow Patrol are among the main acts for the Tuesday concert.

Cabello said: “My heart is breaking for the people of Ukraine.

“As refugees from Ukraine join millions of other displaced people around the globe, we all have a responsibility.”

Other artists confirmed in the line-up include Becky Hill, Tom Odell, Snow Patrol, the Kingdom Choir, Nile Rodgers and Chic.

Who will be hosting?

Capital FM’s Marvin Humes, Capital Breakfast host Roman Kemp and Heart’s Emma Bunton will be hosting the Birmingham show.

How can I watch the concert and buy tickets?

Tickets are on sale beginning March 22 from £52 per person.

ITV will be airing the performances on TV, along with broadcasts on the Scottish branch STV, as well as online ITV and STV players.

Backstage interviews, performance highlights and regular updates will be covered by Global – and Heart and Capital radio for those listening in.

How can I help?

Details on how and where to donate will be broadcast through all the channels covering the live event.

All proceeds will go towards the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal that will fund 15 UK charities – including British Red Cross, Save the Children UK and Oxfam UK – to provide water, food, shelter and medical aid to Ukrainian refugees.

The DEC appeal, launched on March 3, has raised more than £200 million – with £25 million of the total matched by the UK government.

The event will also highlight the ongoing humanitarian efforts in Ukraine through short films.
