Concerns raised over inconsiderate parking at Alexandria primary schools

Police stepped up patrols at primary schools and a nursery in the Vale following concerns over inconsiderate parking.

Alexandria community officers visited Renton Primary, St Martin’s Primary and Dalmonach Nursery in response to worries raised.

West Dunbartonshire Council urge parents and carers to park considerately but any concerns should be reported to police.

A spokeswoman said: “We urge all parents and carers to be considerate when attending at schools throughout West Dunbartonshire in their cars.

“Our head teachers work closely with parent councils to reinforce this message as well as raise awareness of the importance of road safety.

“If any resident has concerns over inconsiderate parking this should be reported to Police Scotland.”
