The 45-year-old, from the Melrose area, is described as being white, 5ft3 in height and of slight build, with dyed red/auburn hair. She is believed to have been wearing a black jacket and jeans when she went missing.

Michelle is also known to frequent the Galashiels area of the Scottish Borders and was there one day before she went missing.

Officers are urging anyone with information to get in touch as concern grows for her welfare.

Inspector David Robertson, Police Scotland, said: “Michelle is known to frequent the Galashiels area of the Scottish Borders and was reported to have been seen there on Friday, 9 September. We’ve also had a report that she was in Melrose on Tuesday, 6 September.

“We are keen to establish Michelle’s whereabouts as soon as possible as concern is growing for her welfare.

“In addition, we would ask Michelle to get in touch with either family, friends, or police if she sees this and let us know she is safe and well.”

Any information can be reported to Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 1749 of Monday, 5 September 2022.
