Concerns growing for missing Scot last seen 11 days ago in Stonehouse

Police are searching for a missing Stonehouse man last seen over 11 days ago.

The last sighting of Andrew Ballantyne, 35, was at around 9pm on Saturday, October 3, in Lockhart Street in the Lanarkshire village.

Cops say extensive enquiries have already been carried out to find Andrew, however he has not yet been traced.

He is described as white, around 5ft 8in, with short dark hair and a short dark beard.

When he was last seen he was wearing a black Puffa jacket with a Ferrari or Lamborghini logo and grey jogging trousers with a vertical strip down each leg and black trainers.

He was reported missing to the police on October 6.

Officers continue to speak to family and friends and continue to review CCTV footage.

Inspector Ross McCalllum said: “No-one has seen or heard from Andrew for a number of days and although he may not always be in touch with his family, he’s never been out of contact for this long before so we do have some concerns.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Andrew or has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts to contact us.

"In particular, I would ask motorists with dash cams to check their footage as it’s possible an image has been captured which could assist in our enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0287 of 6 October, 2020.
