Concerns growing for missing man who vanished in Dundee as search launched

The family of a man who vanished overnight in Dundee are growing increasingly concerned for his safety.

Scott Ney was last seen in the Lochee area of the city at around 2.45pm on Tuesday, July 6.

The 29-year-old has failed to make contact with loved ones and has since been reported missing to police.

Officers are appealing for help from the general public to trace Scott and are checking CCTV in the relevant areas.

He is described as being 6ft tall, of slim build and has short, curly brown hair.

Sergeant Kirsten Kiddie from Lochee Police Station said: “Scott’s family is worried and just want to know he is safe and well.

“As time goes on, we are growing increasingly concerned for him and appeal for anyone with information or Scott himself to get in touch with Police Scotland on 101."
