Concerns growing for missing man who vanished from Carluke over a week ago

Concerns are growing for a missing man who vanished from Lanarkshire over a week ago.

A search has been launched for Stewart Harwood, who was last seen at Carluke train station around 6.45am boarding a train to Glasgow on Wednesday, March 4.

The 48-year-old has not been seen or heard of since.

He is described as being 5ft 9ins of a medium build, with short brown hair.

At the time he went missing Stewart was wearing blue jeans, an olive, khaki coloured jacket and carrying a small suitcase and rucksack.

Sergeant Scott Murray of Lanark West Port police station said: “Along with his family and friends, we are becoming increasingly concerned for Stewart’s welfare and are keen to locate him as soon as possible .

“We would urge anyone who may have seen Stewart to contact us.

"Similarly, if Stewart is reading this, let us know you are safe and well”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3643 of Thursday, 5 March, 2020.
