Concerns grow over missing man who was last seen leaving a hospital more than 50 days ago

Police have issued a fresh appeal for help to find a man who went missing more than 50 days ago.

Carl Wilcox was last seen leaving the Royal Albert Infirmary in Wigan on October 10.

An appeal was put out for help to find the 51-year-old, but police said information has been 'limited'.

They, and Carl's family, are now growing 'increasingly concerned' for his welfare.

Officers posted a renewed appeal on the GMP Wigan West Facebook page today (November 30), exactly 51 days after Carl first went missing.

"We believe the public can assist in helping both ourselves and Carl's family in locating him safe and well", the post said.

Carl is described as a white male, who is 5ft 5in tall, of slim build and has grey hair.

He has links to the Whelley, Platt Bridge and Bolton areas.

Anyone who has any information is being urged to get in touch with GMP as soon as possible.

Information relating to the whereabouts of Carl should be reported to GMP on 101 and quote reference number MSP/06LL/0002928/21.
