Concerns grow over Ayrshire woman missing with two young children for three days

Concerns are growing about the wellbeing of an Ayrshire woman missing with her two young children.

Leona Wallace, 30, has not been seen after entering a black BMW car at around 8pm on Wednesday, June 12 in the Bellsbank area of East Ayrshire .

The disappearance is "extremely out of character" for Leona, who is thought to be with her seven-year-old son and daughter, three.

Leona is described as being 5ft2inches tall, with long brown hair and green eyes.

Police Scotland's Sergeant Adam Johnstone said: "Leona was reported missing to us on Friday, June 14 and officers have been carrying out various local enquiries.

"She is believed to be with her seven year son and three year old daughter.

“It is extremely out of character for Leona not to be in touch with her friends and family who are growing increasing concerned for her wellbeing.

“I’d also appeal directly to Leona to contact either her family or police to let us know she is safe and well."

Anyone who has witnessed Leona or her children are urged to contact police via 101 quoting incident number 2224 of Friday, June 14.
