Newcastle missing for almost a month found safe and well in Edinburgh

A Newcastle man who was missing for almost a month has been found safe and well in Edinburgh.

Zac Bayes, 24, was last seen at an address on Westgate Road in Newcastle on the morning of Friday, March 26.

He was reported missing and police and his family were growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Officers said he had links to the Scarborough and Manchester areas and that he had been in touch with family members after going missing.

Northumbria Police appealed for help from the public to locate him on Tuesday and on Friday, confirmed the good news that he had now been found.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "We are pleased to confirm that missing Newcastle man Zac Bayes has been located safe and well.

"The 24-year-old was last seen on March 26 but was found in Edinburgh last night.

"A huge thank you to everyone who shared our appeal earlier this week."
