Concerns grow for missing Scots pensioner who often goes by different name

Police are appealing for information to trace a man missing from Perth.

George Moffat was reported missing on Monday.

The 65-year-old hails from the Muirton area and often goes by Alan.

He is described as around five foot, six inches tall and of a slim build.

It is thought he is wearing a blue baseball cap with white writing and a black and grey Mountain Warehouse jacket.

Anyone who might have seen the pensioner or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police.

It is understood he also has links to Dundee and Crieff.

Tayside Police Division released a photo of George on Tuesday morning alongside a statement.

A spokesperson from the force said: "We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace a man reported missing in Perth.

"There are growing concerns for the 65-year-old, who lives in the Muirton area of Perth.

"Anyone who may have seen George, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 3748 of April 11, 2022."
