Concerns grow for missing mum and daughter as disappearance 'completely out of character'

Police are appealing for help in finding a missing mum and her teenage daughter.

Joanne, 53, and 19-year-old Alisha were last seen at their home address in Slough, Berkshire.

The teenager was seen on Monday (June 26) at around 10am, while her mum was seen yesterday (June 28) at around 7pm.

Joanne is described as a mixed-race female with a fair complexion.

She has curly black shoulder length hair and is around 5ft 1ins to 5ft 2ins tall.

She often wears sunglasses and is likely to be wearing a denim jacket and white Nike trainers.

Alisha is also a mixed race female with a darker complexion.

She is around 5ft 6ins tall with dark hair, but often wears a blonde wig.

Alisha usually wears a navy coat down to her knees.

Both Joanne and Alisha are known to frequent Slough and Windsor.

Thames Valley PC Heather Bainbridge, based at Slough police station, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Joanne and Alisha, whose disappearance is completely out of character.

“We are appealing to anyone who knows of their whereabouts or has possibly seen them to report this via our dedicated missing persons’ portal, quoting reference number 43230285910.

“If you do see either of them, please call us on 999.

“We currently believe they are together.

“I would also like to appeal directly to Joanne and Alisha. You are not in any trouble. We would like to make sure you are ok, so please get in touch with us.”
