Concerns are growing for a Moray man after he was reported missing over the weekend.
James Thomson, from Burghead, was last seen in the Young Street area of the town at around 11pm on Saturday evening.
The 25-year-old has not been seen by any friends and family since then.
Police have continued searching for the missing Scot and have carried out searches around his hometown and the surrounding areas today.
He has been described by local officers as being 5ft 8ins with a slim build, brown hair and short stubble.
James was last seen wearing a pink sweatshirt, light blue denim jeans and white gazelle trainers.
He is also believed to have been in possession of a blue waterproof jacket at the time of his disappearance.
Police Scotland’s Sergeant Stephen Carmichael said: “James has not been seen or heard from since late last night and there are growing concerns for his wellbeing.
"We are asking for anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts or any potential sightings to please come forward. Any information could prove vital in our efforts to trace him.
“If you believe you have information which could assist us, you should contact police on 101, quoting incident 1405 of 2 May.”
