Concerns grow for missing Johnstone man as family launch desperate appeal

Concerns are growing for a missing man from Johnstone who was last seen yesterday morning.

Kevin Turner, 50, has not been seen since yesterday morning.

Both Kevin's family and Police Scotland have launched an appeal for information on Kevin's whereabouts.

Police say the 50-year-old was last seen at his home address on Quarrelton Grove around 3am on Sunday, 25 October.

He is described as being 5ft 8in tall and of stocky build with short brown hair.

He is thought to be wearing a black rain jacket, a pair of dark blue jeans and black boots.

Kevin's sister- in-law wrote on social media he was last seen at Johnstone train station. Margaret wrote: "We are desperate to find my brother-in-law Kevin Turner, age 50 from Johnstone. Kevin was last seen today Sunday 25th October at 8.30 am at Johnstone train station.

"He didn’t get a ticket from the machine as had no money. He then headed towards the high street in Johnstone. We have tried to look everywhere we can think of. He has no phone, cards or wallet with him.

"The police now have Kevin’s phone. If anyone has seen Kevin please get in touch with any of the family or the police on 101 if you have seen him. Thank you"

Police in Renfrewshire are now also appealing for information which could help trace Kevin.

Sergeant Dean Shankie said: "We are concerned for Kevin's welfare and would urge anyone who may be able to help our efforts to find him to get in touch as soon as possible.

"If you have any information then please call 101, quoting incident 2065 of 25 October."
