Concerns grow for heavily pregnant mum who went missing with two daughters

Police are growing increasingly concerned for a mum who went missing with her two children while she was heavily pregnant.

The family were last seen at a Travelodge in Newcastle-under-Lyme at around 5.30pm on Tuesday, September 10.

Hajar Mohammed (Al-Shammani), 35, was heavily pregnant at the time and despite police enquiries the family have still not been tracked down.

Her daughters Reem and Marjam, who went missing with her, are aged eight and six.

Staffordshire Police has now launched an investigation into the missing family and are appealing to the public for any information that may help.

Hajar is described as being 5ft 3ins tall and of Middle Eastern appearance. When she was last seen she was wearing a beige head scarf and a black floor-length dress.

Marjam and Reem were last seen wearing matching clothing including a pink and light-grey rain coat, a grey t-shirt with unicorn details, light-blue jeans with a unicorn at the top of left leg and trainers that matched their coats.

Anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 304 of 12 September, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
