A Canberra man has been missing for almost two weeks, prompting police to renew a call for information.

ACT policing is seeking public assistance to locate 19-year-old Rooney Mawa. He was last seen in Isaacs on August 16, heading towards Isaacs Ridge.

ACT Policing, Search and Rescue and and State Emergency Services conducted a large scale search at Isaacs Ridge on August 21.

However, the search did not provide any new information about Mr Mawa's whereabouts.

Mr Mawa is described as being of African appearance and 183cm (6") tall, with brown eyes, black hair and a slim build.

Police want to assure Mr Mawa that he is not in trouble, and thank members of the public who have already provided them with CCTV footage that has assisted the investigation. They have previously said they and Mr Mawa's family held concerns for his welfare.

ACT Policing ask anyone who might have new information to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444, quoting reference number 6609349.
