Concern raised after doctor goes missing from her Cambuslang home

Concern has been raised for a doctor missing from her Cambuslang home since Saturday night.

Robbie Thomson, the partner of Dr Cat Gaskell, shared a post on the Newton Farm Residents social media page where they live, frantically looking for information on her whereabouts.

Shared on social media, his post reads: "Hi there. My partner has been missing since last night.

"She left our house on foot at 8pm (I have ring doorbell footage) and didn't return.

"Her family and friends haven't heard from her and the police are involved.

"Looking to see if anyone in the estate has CCTV footage that might have picked her up at that time."

He also attached a recent photograph and said Cat was last seen wearing a light blue/grey jumper and carrying a shoulder strap handbag.

Police are actively searching the area for her and seeking assistance on her whereabouts.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Enquiries are ongoing to trace Ms Gaskell."

SEVA Scotland, a charity with which Cat is involved with said in a statement on Facebook last night: "Our dear friend Dr Cat Gaskell is missing, she was last seen yesterday evening in the Newton Farm Cambuslang area.

"We are extremely concerned for her welfare and pray for her safe return."
