Family are becoming increasingly concerned for a 13-year-old girl who has gone missing from the Hyndford area of Lanark.

Police are re-appealing for assistance in tracing Kerys Lynch, who was reported missing since around 5.15pm yesterday.

She was last seen at the A70 near to Hyndford Road, Lanark, but her current whereabouts are unknown and her friends and family are becoming increasingly concerned for her.

Kerys is described as being white female, of slim/medium build, with dyed red/black hair and blonde roots. She was last seen wearing a khaki green over-sized T-shirt and light grey leggings.

The teenager is known to frequent Lanark, Irvine and other Ayrshire surrounding towns.

Police Sergeant Durie from Lanark Police station told Lanarkshire Live: "Kerys has been missing for a number of hours now. We have a number of Police resources out looking for her and I am now looking for the assistance from the public.

"If you believe you have seen Kerys or have any information please contact 101 quoting incident no. 2862 of July 12, 2021."
