'Concern is growing' for missing Airdrie man as police step up their search

The search for a missing Airdrie man is ongoing this morning as “concern continues to grow” for his whereabouts.

Daniel Charlton was reported missing from the Mack Street area of the town around 3pm on Friday.

The 21-year-old was last reportedly seen in the Bell Street area around 4pm.

Now police are appealing for information to help trace Daniel.

Inspector John O’Neill told Lanarkshire Live: “As time passes, the concern for Daniel continues to grow.

“We are appealing for anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts, or any potential sightings, to please come forward.

Daniel is described as white, 5ft 8in, of slim build and short brown hair.

When last seen, he was wearing a grey and black zipped top, black jogging bottoms and black and white Nike trainers.

Anyone with any information can call police on 101. Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
