Missing youths found after PSNI appeal

Police have thanked the public for their help in finding two missing children last night.

Eireann Ruddy, 13, and Paul Price, 11, were reported missing after having been last seen on the Crumlin Road, at around 10:15am on Sunday.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Tennent Street LPT officers wish to thank everyone who assisted us in the search for missing juveniles Eireann Ruddy and Paul Rice. Both have now been located and are presently being well looked after. Thanks again for your assistance."

The Community Rescue Service were also on the ground, along wih members of the public.

A CRS spokesperson said: "Our volunteers will thankfully be tucked up in their beds by now having returned home. Teams from Belfast, Central, Southern and Northern Districts were deployed to the Antrim area on Sunday evening to help search for two children, missing from Sunday morning. CRS had been assisting the police throughout Sunday with this incident.

"Once deployed, a CRS team located the two both safe and well. Having been checked over just to ensure there were no injuries the pair were brought back to our RV where they were handed over to the PSNI to be returned to their waiting families."
