Concern grows for missing pensioner, 78, who was last seen getting on a bus to County Durham

Concern is growing for an elderly woman who was last seen catching a bus to County Durham.

Durham Constabulary has released a picture of missing Sylvia Ferris Brown, who is 78 and from Peterlee.

Officers say they are becoming increasingly concerned about her welfare as she has not been found overnight.

Sylvia was last seen on Saturday afternoon getting on a bus at Peterlee Bus Station which was heading towards Durham.

She is described as being short with blonde/white hair and was last seen wearing a black duffle coat with black trousers carrying a medium sized turquoise handbag.

Anyone who knows of Sylvia’s whereabouts is asked to contact Durham Police on 101 quoting incident reference DHM-01022020-0509.
