Concern grows for missing man last seen in East Kilbride

Police are appealing for information to help trace William Stewart who went missing in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The 33-year-old was last seen at around 2.30am on Thursday, February 9 near Germiston Crescent in the Lindsayfield area of East Kilbride.

William is known to frequent the East Kilbride and Glasgow areas.

He is 6ft tall, of medium build, with auburn hair and a beard - when last seen he is thought to have been wearing a khaki jacket and dark jeans.

Insp Gareth Brown told Lanarkshire Live: “Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries since he was reported missing, but so far, he has not been traced, and no one has confirmed any sightings of him.

“We are growing increasingly concerned for William, and we would appeal to anyone who knows where he is to contact us. I would ask William himself, if you are reading this please get in touch with your family, friends or police.”

Anyone with any information should call Police Scotland on 101.

Information can also be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
