Concern grows for missing East Kilbride woman as police step up their search

Concern is growing for a missing East Kilbride woman who has not been seen in over a week.

Police Scotland were continuing their investigation into the whereabouts of Marie Paterson on Monday morning.

The 37-year-old was last seen in the town’s Kittoch Street on Saturday, June 22.

However, her disappearance wasn’t reported to police until Thursday, June 27.

Marie is described as white, 5ft 5in tall, of slim build with long blonde hair.

She is known to regularly travel to Glasgow city centre and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact police on 101. Information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
