Concern is growing for missing Cambuslang woman Janet Pickering who was last seen in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police have stepped up their search for the 58-year-old, with officers describing her disappearance as 'out of character'.
It's understood she may have travelled to the north of Scotland.
A statement released by the Lanarkshire Police Division said: "Officers at Rutherglen PO are continuing enquiries and appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing a 58 year-old female who is missing from Cambuslang.
"Janet Pickering (58) of Cambuslang, was last seen at her home address around 02.30 am on Monday 25th November 2019.
"Janet is described as 5ft 6 in height and of slim build with short brown/greying hair. When she was last seen she was wearing a navy coloured parka style jacket with a fur lined hood and in possession of a black handbag."
Sergeant Ailie Henderson of Rutherglen Police Office added: "Concern for Janet is growing as her disappearance is out of character and there are concerns for her safety as she has not been in contact with her family or friends.
"She is known to frequent the Cambuslang area and believed to have travelled to the north of Scotland in her blue Volkswagen Touran motor vehicle, registration: YF54 TVU.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Rutherglen Police Office through 101 quoting incident number 0400 of 25th November."
UPDATE: Janet has been found safe and well.
