Relief as missing Belfast man Gary Collins, 20, turns up safe and well

The family of a 20-year-old Belfast man who has gone missing who said they were fearful for his welfare and whereabouts were told early Monday by police that he had been found safe and well.

Gary Collins was last seen around 6pm on Saturday, July 31, when he went for a walk in the Belvoir area of the city and did not return home. He was reportedly wearing a green/blue colour tracksuit.

Police North Belfast launched an appeal for information, with a spokesman saying: "If you have seen Gary, or know of his whereabouts, please contact police."

Just hours after launching the appeal, the police were able to announce on social media that the 20-year-old had been located.
