Concern grows for Gateshead man Max Smith who has been missing for over a week

Police have launched an appeal for help in tracing a Gateshead man who went missing more than a week ago.

Max Smith, who lives on Adelaide Court, was reported missing to police on Tuesday, but it has been more than a week since he was last seen.

The 22-year-old has not been in touch with his friends and family since June 26 and they are now growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Police have been carrying out inquiries to locate Max in recent days but they are now appealing for help from the public.

Max is described as white, around 5ft11in tall, of medium built and with short brown hair.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 715 30/06/20.
