Concern growing in ongoing search for missing Sunderland teenager Kieran Williams

A fresh appeal has been issued in the search for missing Sunderland teen Kieran Williams.

Kieran, 18, was first reported missing after he failed to return to his home on Esplanade West on April 18. A missing person investigation was launched and several lines of enquiry have been ongoing since his disappearance including gathering of CCTV footage, house-to-house searches and telecommunication analysis.

The investigation into the teenager's disappearance continues and officers from Northumbria Police have once again urged anyone with information to get in touch.

Kieran’s loved ones and officers are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and are urging members of the public to get in touch with even the smallest detail which could help bring him home safely.

He is described as white, 5ft 10, with dark brown hair, brown eyes and of slim build. He was last seen wearing a blue and grey jacket.

Northumbria Police have also received information to suggest Kieran was in the Ford Estate area and as such, they are still asking anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage of that particular area to get in touch with them as it may prove crucial to their investigation.

Detective Inspector Matt Steel, the officer leading the investigation into Kieran’s disappearance, said: “We are urging people to let us know if they have dashcam footage and home CCTV since Kieran went missing to see if they can help us plot his movements.

“Even the smallest detail or piece of information could help locate him and bring him back to his loved ones safe.”

Anyone with any information about Kieran's whereabouts is asked to contact us via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page on Northumbria Police's website or contact 101 quoting reference 26 20/04/22. You can also report anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
