Concern growing for Scot missing overnight as temperatures set to fall

A Scot has gone missing overnight his friends, family and police become increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

Andrew Docherty, 26, was last seen around 11.30am on Tuesday October 19 near the Bank of Scotland on Abbeygreen, in Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire.

Andrew has been described as a while male, 5ft 8ins in height with brown hair and a stocky build, according to Police Scotland.

He is believed to have been wearing a black anorak with another red anorak underneath at the time of his disappearance.

The 26-year-old was also wearing blue suit trousers and brown socks. It is possible that he has now purchased footwear.

Andrew is originally from Shawlands, Glasgow and may have returned to the area.

Police Sergeant Jason Henry from Larkhall Police Office said: "It is out of character for Andrew not to be in touch with his family or friends, who are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

"We have a number of police resources out looking for Andrew and I am now looking for the assistance from the public.

"If you believe you have seen Andrew or have any information please contact 101, quoting incident no. 1491 of the 19th October 2021”.
