Concern growing for missing Scots woman who vanished in Edinburgh over a week ago

Concerns are growing for a woman who vanished in Edinburgh over a week ago.

Police have launched a search for Stacie Mackay, who disappeared from her home in Hay Avenue sparking a frantic search.

The 37-year-old was reported missing on Sunday, but hasn't been seen since more than a week ago.

Officers are worried for her safety and are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.

They also are reaching out to Stacie herself to get in touch.

She is described as being around 5ft 8in tall and of slim build with brown hair.

Inspector Willie Falconer, of Craigmillar Police Station said: "We are concerned for Stacie given the last confirmed sighting of her is now more than a week ago.

"We would urge anyone who has seen her to get in touch as soon as they can.

"If Stacie herself sees this then please call us. We just want to ensure you are safe and well.

"Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 3335 of 4 April."
