Concern growing for missing Scots pensioner as police launch major search

A Scots 79-year-old is missing as police appeal for information to help trace him.

Stephen James was reported missing from an address in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire.

He was last seen leaving there at around 3.15pm on Saturday July 24, according to Police Scotland.

Stephen went for a walk and is believed to have headed towards the beach area of the village.

The 79-year-old was wearing a blue t-shirt with a striped pattern, brown trousers and brown shoes as pictured on the right.

He also wears glasses and currently lives in the Newtonhill area of Kincardineshire.

Anyone with any information should call the police on 101 and refer to incident 4331 of the 24th.
