Concern growing for missing Scot as police launch appeal

Police are appealing for public assistance to help trace a missing Scot.

Alan Davies, 38, from Kirkwall in Orkney was last seen around 3:15pm on Monday 7 June.

He has recently been dealing with personal issues and there are concerns for his welfare.

Alan has been described at 6ft tall, of a medium build with blue eyes and brown hair.

The 38-year-old was seen wearing a dark grey coloured t-shirt before his disappearance.

It is thought that he might be driving a red Mitsubishi Eclipse vehicle.

Alan often visits the Stromness area of Orkney so officers are undertaking a search in the area.

Police Scotland said: "Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen Alan or his car or who has any information as to his whereabouts to contact them urgently on 101, quoting incident number 2355 of Monday, 7 June, 2021."
