Missing Jarrow man Shaun Lake has been located following a police appeal.
Shaun Lake, 54, left a home on Fellgate Avenue at around 2pm on Sunday and had not returned, leading to his family reporting him missing to police.
Officers were growing increasingly concerned for his welfare, and Northumbria Police issued a public appeal 24 hours after his disappearance.
It was believed that Shaun may have travelled to the Castletown area of Sunderland.
A blue Ford Fiesta belonging to him was since found in the Wessington Way area of the city.
Police have now revealed Shaun has now been located safe and well and thanked everyone who shared their appeal.
