Concern growing for missing 79-year-old from Peterlee who may appear confused

A search is under way to find a missing pensioner who may be "confused" and "lost".

Henry Punshon disappeared after leaving his home in Peterlee, County Durham in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police officers say they are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of the 79-year-old who lives in the centre of Peterlee.

They say Henry may appear confused and he may have become lost.

He is described as 5ft 2ins, of thin build with thinning grey hair and wears glasses.

He frequently wears a cap.

It is believed that Henry may be wearing a three-quarter length navy blue rain jacket and black and grey Gortex trainers.

Anyone who has seen Henry is asked to contact Durham Constabulary on 101.
