Concern growing for elderly man missing from home for two weeks

Concerns are growing for an elderly man who has been missing from his home for two weeks.

Brian Porteus was last seen at his home on Woodburn Court, Hamilton, on Saturday morning, March 21.

The 80-year-old was last seen wearing a dark green hooded coat, navy chino style trousers, a short-sleeved white and navy checked shirt and brown suede walking shoes.

Brian is described as looking young for his age and mobile.

He is white, 5ft 5in, of slim build, with white hair.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may know Brian and to find out if he had talked about visiting them recently.

He has connections with the Hamilton and Motherwell areas.

Sergeant Sharon Priestley, of Hamilton Police Station, said: “We are asking anyone who may know something about Brian’s movements in the last couple of weeks to get in touch.

"He may have talked about going to visit someone or about taking a trip.

“Anyone with information which might help us find Brian should call us on 101, quoting incident 2985 of 21 March.”
