Family 'worried sick' as deaf Scots schoolgirl goes missing sparking frantic search

A deaf Scots school girl has gone missing after not coming home from school yesterday.

Courtney Mcmorrow's family are 'worried sick' after she vanished from the Cumbernauld area.

The 13-year-old has been missing overnight and relies on hearing implants which will run out.

Police are now frantically searching for the 'vulnerable child' in a desperate bid to bring her home.

A worried family member said: "Courtney Mcmorrow hasn't came home after school and her phone is off.

"If anyone has seen her can they message either myself or her mum or dad.

"Would've been wearing this outfit this morning and Cumbernauld area.

"She could be in Glasgow area but still no news and police looking for her.

"Courtney is 13 years old and is deaf.

"Her implants will run out and she is a vulnerable child.

"There's genuine worry amongst family now other than being a typical teenager."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "I can confirm was have a missing person of that name currently."
