Concern growing for Catalin Stan, 37, missing from Hamilton area for seven days

An urgent search has been launched to trace a 37-year-old man missing from Hamilton for a week.

Catalin Stan was last seen at the Days Inn, Hamilton Services at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, August 26.

Police Scotland are appealing for anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.

Catalin is originally from Romania and speaks English with an accent. He is described as 6ft tall and of medium build. When last seen he is believed to be wearing dark grey jeans, black trainers and a black padded jacket with a hood. He was carrying a black rucksack.

Sergeant Dionne Stewart at Hamilton Police Office said: “It has now been a week since the last reported sighting of Catalin and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

“Anyone who has seen him since Wednesday, 26 August or anyone who knows of his present whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 1731 of 1 September 2020.”
