Concern for teenage boy who has been missing from home for over a week

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a teenager who has been missing for over a week.

Ellis Clegg was last seen at 9.55pm in Paisley on Saturday, December 11, then later the same night on Union Street in Glasgow city centre.

Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen Ellis, to make contact with them

He is described as 5ft 6, slim build and has brown curly hair and brown eyes, and was believed to be wearing a black North Face tracksuit when he was last seen.

Police Constable Boyle said: "We have growing concerns for Ellis and just want to make sure he is okay. He has gone missing before and been traced in the Cheshire area so there is a possibility that he tried to travel.

“We have officers checking CCTV footage and speaking to those who know him, however we would appeal for anyone who thinks they may have seen him to get in touch.

“Ellis, if you see this, we urge you to make contact.

"If anyone has any information regarding Ellis or has any knowledge as to his whereabouts, please call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0045 of Sunday 12 December 2021."
