Concern for safety of 97-year-old woman from Worksop

Police are concerned for the safety of a 97-year-old woman who hasn't been in contact with her family for about a week.

Peggy Ainsworth, who lives in the Worksop area, hasn't been seen or heard from her family since around 7pm on Friday (July 17).

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Officers are concerned for her welfare. Due to a medical condition, she is not able to walk far - but does have a free bus pass.

"She was last seen wearing a pale green anorak and was carrying a bag."

She is described as 5ft 2ins tall, of thin build and with grey short hair.

Anyone with information that may help is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101.
