Concern for missing Renfrew man known to be going through 'tough time'

A 54-year-old man has been reported missing in Renfrew, prompting Police Scotland to appeal for information from the public.

Arthur Campbell was last seen at 7am this morning (June 20) at a property on Western Park Place. However, police have quickly asked for information, as Arthur seemed upset when he was last spotted and was known to be going through a difficult time.

Arthur is described as 6 ft tall, well built with and quite tanned. He has tattoos on his hands and a bald head, while he was last seen wearing a black jacket and black jeans.

Appealing for help from the public, Seargent Brian Nesbitt, from the Renfrew Police Office, said that Arthur was thought to be travelling by foot.

He said: "Arthur has been going through a tough time recently and seemed a bit upset when he was last seen.

"We just want to make sure he is okay, and have been searching the Renfrew area and checking CCTV in an effort to find him.

"He was on foot and therefore we don't believe he will have gone too far.

"We would urge anyone who has seen him to get in touch with police. Arthur, if you see this, please contact us to let us know you are okay."

UPDATE: Arthur has now been found safe and well.
