A missing North Shields pensioner has been found safe and well, police have confirmed.
Christine Scott was reported missing after she left her home on Saint Anselm Road on Friday morning between 6.40am and 7am.
Police said she was believed to have been wearing a nightie at the time and her family were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.
Officers released an urgent appeal to the public for help to locate the 75-year-old and said she only had her bus pass with her.
On Friday afternoon, a spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Missing woman Christine Scott has been found safe.
"Thank you for sharing our appeal"
