Concern for missing man Robert Cochrane last seen leaving Edinburgh Waverley station

Friends and family are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing man who was last seen leaving Edinburgh Waverley station.

Robert Cochrane, known as Bob, boarded the Borders Railway train to Edinburgh on Thursday, January 2.

The 37-year-old, from Galashiels, left the Princes Street exit of the station around 12.30pm. He hasn't been heard from since then and police are urging people to keep an eye out for him.

Inspector Burns from Galashiels police station said: "Robert has been missing for a number of days now, this is completely out of character for him and his friends are understandably worried about it.

"We have a number of police resources out looking for Robert and I am now looking for the assistance from the public."

Bob has short grey hair and was last seen wearing a light brown jacket and a rucksack.

Anyone who has seen him can contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3287 of January 2.
