Concern for man, 49, who has been missing from home for a week

UPDATE: On Monday, April 26 police confirmed Anthonpillao has been found safe and well

Merseyside Police have issued an appeal after a Wirral man has been missing from his home for nearly a week..

Anthonpillao Jeyanthan was last seen on Ashville Road in Birkenhead at around 10.15am on Saturday 17 April, and has not been seen since.

Anthonpillao, who is 49, is described as an Asian man, around 5ft 8in tall with greying shoulder length hair and a beard.

Merseyside Police have said that Anthonpillao also walks with a crutch and is known to frequent the Liverpool area.

He was wearing a green baseball cap, dark coloured bubble jacked with a white hood and white toggled buttons, together with a grey zipped hooded top, black tracksuit trousers and black trainers when last seen.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are concerned for Anthonpillao’s whereabouts.
