Concern for Gemma following the birth of her quads on Corrie

Gemma Winter gave birth in typically dramatic fashion, swinging in a cable car up in the sky in Llandudno - but the event appears to have taken their toll on the new mum.

Unsurprisingly the kebab shop queen turned 'quad mother' seems overwhelmed after welcoming four babies into the world on Coronation Street, and she's miles from home.

In tonight's Corrie she eased herself out of her hospital bed in north Wales and gazed at her four babies with awe and trepidation.

Gemma was then seen struggling to express her milk as her new fiance Chesney Brown and a nurse promised her she’s doing really well.

"How are you feeling?" the nurse asked.

"Tired and it hurts and I want to go home," she said, as Ches reassured her that she's 'smashing it.'

"Just keep telling me again I'm smashing it," she told her man.

Gemma then apologised to the nurse, saying: "Sorry I'm all over the shop, maybe I just need some air."

In tomorrow night's Corrie Gemma is worried when she's told she's being discharged but the babies must remain at the hospital in Llandudno.

And she's furious when she discovers her meddling mum Bernie has made the quads their own Instagram account.

An even the news that she and Chesney are booked into a hotel near the hospital does little to cheer her up.

The couple went to Llandudno on a day trip but the unexpected happened when, after a few false alarms over the past couple of weeks, her waters broke in the cable car.

Baby Aled was born in the air, followed by his siblings in hospital.
